MALIR TOWN


Malir Town is a small densely populated town located in the Eastern part of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Malir town bordered by Jinnah International Airport, Malir Cantonment to the West and North, the Malir River and Shah Faisal Town to the South and Gadap Town to the East across the Thado Nallo stream. Model Colony (Union Council No. 1) has been retained as whole unit resulting in 60,000+ populations similarly, the other localities that have an identity of their own have been retained as whole units as the people of these areas identify themselves with these areas.

The entire town comprises of developed areas and the physical features have defined it in such a way that it is feasible to maintain it as a town despite the estimated population being around 400,000, at the 1998.
